Guidelines for Mouse and Menu Operations
This excerpt from the guidelines pertains to the mouse operations for objects called "labels",
which were similar to the cells in a spreadsheet. The second part defines the contents of
the right mouse shortcut menu for areas in particular windows. The original guidelines were
about 8 pages long.
Mouse and Menu Operations for Labels
This document defines guidelines for mouse operations, menu bar choices
and short-cut menu choices for label objects. In this document, the
term "label" refers to the widget that is used to group channels in the Format window.
Mouse Operations for Labels
"Click" is a mouse button press, immediately followed by a release.
"Drag" means to press a mouse button, hold it down and move the mouse.
